Set up your company and subscribe

Whoever sets ord1nary up for a company becomes its owner. The owner creates an account, sets up the company and pays for the subscription with their Apple Account.

On iPhone and iPad

  1. 01Download ord1nary from the App Store and open it.
  2. 02Tap Create account, enter your first and last name and tap Continue.
  3. 03Enter your email address and a password of at least 12 characters, then tap Create account.
  4. 04The setup starts on its own. Enter the name under Company name and the address below it, then tap Continue at the top right.
  5. 05Under Tax and contact, add phone, email address, tax number and bank details. You can leave this step out with Skip.
  6. 06Under Modules, switch on the sections you use and tap Choose a plan.
  7. 07Pick your plan and tap Start Free Trial or Subscribe. Confirm the purchase with Apple.

On the Mac

  1. 01Download ord1nary from the Mac App Store and open it.
  2. 02Click Create account and enter your name, email address and password.
  3. 03The setup then opens on its own. Go through the steps with Continue up to Choose a plan.
  4. 04Pick your plan and confirm the purchase with Apple.

Good to know

  • The company is created only once Apple confirms the purchase. Until then, ord1nary shows that it is waiting.
  • The App Store shows the free first month and the price after it before you buy.
  • The plan belongs to the company, not to a device. You sign in with the same account on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
  • Your email address is confirmed in the background. It has to be confirmed before you invite anyone to the team.

Common problems

ord1nary says the email address already has an account.
Then sign in: tap Sign in, or Forgot password? if you no longer know the password. The address is already filled in.
I have already paid, but there is no company.
Tap Restore on the plan screen. ord1nary then asks Apple for your purchase again.
I want to run several companies.
One account belongs to one company. A second company needs an account of its own.
