Delete your account or company

Only the owner deletes their own account. This closes the company - for everyone who works in it. The company removes anyone else’s access.

On iPhone and iPad

  1. 01Export the data first: Settings > Company details > Export data.
  2. 02Open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap Delete Account.
  3. 03Read what happens to the company and type its name.
  4. 04Enter your password and confirm.

On the Mac

  1. 01Export the data first: Settings (⌘,) > Company > Export data.
  2. 02Open Settings with ⌘, and choose My profile.
  3. 03Click Delete Account, enter the company’s name and your password, and confirm.

Good to know

  • We keep the data for 30 more days after deletion, and backups for at most 90 days after that. During that time, you can still sign in as the owner and export.
  • Documents that the law requires you to keep are yours to keep. ord1nary tells you how many there are before closing.
  • Apple does not end your subscription with it. Cancel it with Manage subscription with Apple.
  • Handing the company over to another person is not possible in ord1nary yet.

Common problems

I can’t find “Delete Account”.
Your company manages your access. Ask the owner to remove it; the administration can also remove an employee’s access.
